Bandits!

Look what we saw in our yard! We could hear their mama in the woods scolding them, but like most kids, they just ignored her and kept walking!
Why are baby animals so cute?? I wanted to keep them!
Here are the first two:
The next two:

All four.....How cute are they???I named him Rocky! I really really wanted to try and pick him up, but the husband didn't think that was a good idea!

Here are the puppies watching out the window. They were really wishing that I would let them out to 'play' with the babies!

You can see that Lucky is feeling better! Thanks to Dr H! She took great care of him on Monday and sent us home with lots of meds for him. He is almost back to normal!

Our Memorial day weekend activities

We spent Saturday in Wooster shopping and watching Olivia play soccer. She had a really great game and they won 3-1!
Yep, that's her on the ground!

Sunday was spent doing laundry, and taking care of our dog Lucky. We think that he got poisoned by the bug spray that was used on our house and barn, and he was very sick. He couldn't move hardly at all, and spent the day sleeping. I took him to the vet on Monday, and he was given an IV, and three shots. They also sent us home with three medications to give him this week.

Monday we went to a graduation party for our niece Tricia, and our nephew Ethan. They had a morning party and served brunch. We had a great time, and ate too much!

I wonder who took these great pictures?!? heehee

Little Miss Miracle

This is Keira. She started out life two years ago at 1 pound 12 ounces. No, that isn't a typo! She weighed less than TWO pounds! She is truly a miracle girl! She has the best smile, and giggle and the prettiest eyes!

Now at two years old she is a beautiful, happy healthy, smart toddler! She knows her shapes, her animals, and all the sounds that they make. I was very impressed!

Here is a sneak peek at her session:

This is my favorite so far! Look at the grin!

Busy Busy Toddler!

I spent the morning chasing little miss L. She is 18 months and this is her 5th time in the studio! It has been great to watch her grow and change. She was last here at 12 months and since then she has learned some new words! She can say puppy, blanket, ball, and she repeats everything! This is such a great age! The down side with this age is that they do not like to sit still! She was much to busy playing to sit for any amount of time, so we took what we could get. Her mama and I weren't sure we got too many smiles, but I did catch a few....Here is your sneak peek!

Isn't she a doll?

This is my new paper, True Blue! I thought that it would look nice with her brightly colored dress.

She is going to get a little brother in a couple of weeks, so we will try to get a few smiles out of her then! I can't wait to see her new baby!

Trip to Washington DC

So Lauren and Kurt made it home safe from Washington DC! They got home at 6:30am on Sunday and they both crashed in bed until about 3:30pm! They were beat!
They had fun telling us all about it, and we all had to look at the pictures that Lauren took. Over the three days that they were gone, she took over 600 pictures! I guess she gets it honestly!
I am going to share a few of her images here. I think that she did a great job!

This is one of my favorites:

E-session

That is photographer speak for an Engagement session.

These two started dating when they were 14 & 16! Can you believe it? They are getting married in August and they wanted some pictures for the newspaper announcement and for their family and friends.

We have had a lot of rain lately, so I was happy to wake up to a sunny day! We did some pictures in the studio and some outside at the local school. I got some great images of this cute couple and here is a sneak peek:

Two cuties

These twin cuties came with their sister on Friday. They will be three soon and their mom called to take advantage of my May Multiples Special.
It took a little while for them to warm up, but once they did I got quite a few smiles!
Here are N & N!

And here is their big sister M, don't you just love her dimple?

Lauren and Kurt are due home around 6:00 Sunday morning. I talked to her tonight and she had taken over 600 pictures! I can't wait to see all of the great images that she captured and to hear all about their trip! I will post a few later!

New glasses! And a trip to DC.

I took Olivia to the eye dr today to get her eyes checked and to pick up her new glasses! Aren't they cute? She has contacts too, but she needed some glasses as back up. I told her that when she goes to school tomorrow all the boys are going to be asking "Who's the cute new girl?" =)

This is a typical look from her: =P

And here is Liv and Charlie. He is 4½months old now. Isn't he getting big?

And also this morning Lauren and Kurt left for Washington DC for her 8th grade trip. They got up at 4:30am and had to leave here at 5:00am! What kind of mom would I be if I didn't get up and take a few pictures of it?!?
This is Lauren (r) and her friend Steph (l). She spent the night here, so that she could catch a ride to the school.
Pray for a safe trip for them! And pray for Kurt, as he is in charge of the girl bus on the trip! I reminded him to pack some extra Tylenol and some ear plugs, because a bus of 8th grade girls can get pretty loud!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!

Liv had to be at the soccer field at 1:00pm and her first game started at 2:00pm. It was a beautiful day to be outside! Unfortunately they lost 3-1....

Her second game started at 4:45, so we just stayed at the field and visited with the other soccer moms and kids between the two games. They lost the second game 3-0. So it was a long and disappointing day.

We didn't leave the field until 6:00 so we were both starving, so we went to Panera Bread for some Broccoli Cheese soup and some crusty bread. It was very good! We then took some time to go shopping at Kohl's.

We got home about 8:00 and Liv took a long, hot shower and collapsed into bed!

Unfortunately, since I was gone all day, I have to stay up and work tonight....bummer!

New baby week continues!

This is my third new baby this week! I am pretty sure that I have never had three newborns in one week!

This little guy is one week old, and only 7 pounds! He was so tiny and still curled up from being inside. He is very cute, and has lots of hair! Here is a sneak peek from his session:

Another new baby!

I love the smell of new babies! There has been a baby boom around here, and this is my second new baby this week! She is a little older...She is one month old. She was such a good baby, too! She slept the entire session! I moved her around, we stripped her clothes off, and I even stuck her in a tea cup and she stayed asleep!

She brought along her cute big brother, too! I took his baby pictures 2½ years ago, and I have been so excited to watch him grow over the years! He loves Thomas the Tank Engine, so I dug out some of my son's trains from long ago and he played so nice with them! It is important to keep the bigger ones occupied while I am working with the little ones. That keeps everyone happy!

Here is baby J....

Check out this super cute Watermelon Hat that my very talented SIL made for me! I love it! Thanks Shannon! Here is her big brother A when he was two months old! and this one is from his six month session! I wonder how Jill will look in six months?

And here he is today at 2½! He is getting so big!

A brand new Baby!

I was very honored to take pictures of this little cutie pie today! He is only 5 days old! Can you believe it? He was wide awake and very alert when he first arrived, but after a quick snack from his mama, he fell into a deep sleep. I love sleepy babies!

He never cried the whole time he was here, either, which is unusual! Here is a sneak peek at his pictures, I hope you enjoy them!

Editing a wedding

I am working on a wedding that I had two weeks ago. A lot of people think that once the wedding day ends, that my is done......WRONG! Shooting only accounts for about ¼ of the total amount of time that I will spend on a wedding.

Once I get home the photos all need to be downloaded to my hard drive, then I separate them into categories. IE: getting ready, pre ceremony pictures, ceremony, formals, reception. I then go through the pictures one at a time. And I take an average of 800 pictures at a typical wedding, so going through them is quite a task! So once I have them open, I decide to keep it or trash it. If I keep it then I usually need to edit it a bit. I adjust the color, and lighten it a bit, and then close it. I also turn some of them B&W, or sepia for an artistic twist.

I spend about 1-2 minutes on each picture. So that equals about 20 hours just for the editing! Then I upload the pictures to the printer (that takes a while!) and pick and choose the photos for each page of the proof book. Then I order it and it gets delivered within a week!

Whew! Weddings are a lot of work!

Here is a peek of J&A, the wedding I am working on right now.

Busy Busy Day Today!

Boy did I have a busy day today!

Last Saturday we discovered that our washer was broken, so today I made my second trip to the laundromat. I stripped everyones bed sheets, so that combined with our weekly laundry made for a total of 11 loads! Eeeeek! That adds up quick when you have to pay for it! The bright side of it is that I got 11 loads of laundry washed, dryed, and folded in 2 hours. Sweet!

Once I got home and lugged it all up out of the van, I had a moment to chat with my neice about her upcoming wedding, and take a quick shower, then I was off to pick up girls from soccer. Then, I had about 2 minutes to spare when I got to the elementary school to take pictures of the Holmesville baseball teams!

I started with the t-ball team, and they were so cute! T-ball is 5 and 6 year olds, and it is their first chance to play like the big kids do. They all looked so cute with their little tiny bats and mitts! Next came the Farm B team. I think they are first and second graders. When I was about halfway done with the individual pictures, it started getting pretty dark and cloudy. We knew the rain was coming, so we tried to hurry! I got them all lined up for the team shot and after three pictures, the rain started! The lightening and thunder came too, so we all gathered our things and ran for the cars! Within 3 minutes it was pouring!!

I guess Farm A will have to wait for their pictures until Monday! Pray for sunshine!
This image is my favorite of the day! While D was waiting for his dad to find his glove for his individual shot, I saw his beautiful eyes, and I had to get a close up! Isn't he adorable??
