Sweet little sailor

My dd Olivia has a friend named Olivia, and this is her little brother. He will be two in October and he wasn't too sure about getting his picture taken! He never fussed or cried, but he didn't give me too many smiles either!
His little face is sooooo sweet! All of his brothers and cousins have worn this sailor outfit, so yesterday it was N's turn to wear it!

I hope you like your sneak peek!

Little fireman

This little guy's daddy is a Fireman and he wanted to bring along his helmet for some shots of the baby with it. Well, at three months old, he was too big to sit in it, and too little to sit beside it, so we had to get a little creative.
So here is Baby C, look at all that hair!

One last senior

This week Ryan came for his senior pictures. I did his sister's senior pictures two years ago, so I agreed to do his too! We went to an 'old truck graveyard' and got some great shots!

Here is a sneak peek!

I *heart* little boys!

Growing up I always thought that when I got married I would have a housefull of boys. When I was a nanny, the family had a girl and a boy, and then the two neighbor boys would come over to be babysat too. I loved the girl, but the boys had my heart! The were so sweet and we would play on the floor for hours with their trucks and cars.
Then I gave birth to two girls! Finally the third was a boy, and I wanted to try for another boy, but we settled with the three beautiful, happy, healthy children that we were blessed with.

Luckily with my job now, I get to see all kinds of boys, and girls and we get to play and have fun in the studio!

Here are two cuties that came this week. J has been coming since he was 6 months old, but this is the first time that I got to meet his new brother L! He is so squishy and cute!

Here is a peek at your pictures! I hope you like them!

Mr J, he's almost two!
Mr L, three months....Look at that cute smile!
And one together, do you know how hard it is to get a baby and a toddler to look at you and smile? Super hard! I'm glad I got one!

Jason & Kesha 08.09.08

August 9th, 2009 was a beautiful day for a wedding! Kesha was a glowing bride, and the day was filled with much love and laughter.
Here is a peek at their wedding images.
Barefoot beautiful bride....
A close up:
Can't you just feel the love?

I love this one!I totally LOVE this one too! I think that this one would be perfect on a giant canvas! The end....Or should I say....The beginning?!TTFN! Martha

Cousins

I could shoot these two all day long! They are super cute, and they were very good listeners! They could be models! These two are brothers, and their cousins are below.Starting next week I am going to be offering bigger than life size wall clings. They are like the popular fatheads. I think that this would make a super duper wall cling! These two cuties are the boys' twin cousins. They are getting so big!
Mr M was very busy (as many boys this age are!) and his sister Miss M had fun posing for me! I got at least one good one of them together, which was a great feat!!
Look at that smile! She lights up a room!He looks so quiet and shy, doesn't he? Looks are deceiving! *wink* J/K, he is a good boy! And super cute too!Give me a few days to get the rest up! I am trying to get all caught up!

I'm very busy!

It has been a busy couple of weeks around here! I have had two weddings 12 appointments and a Cheerleading squad to shoot! We also had open house at the High School, Jr High, and elementary school to attend, and tons of school supplies to buy!

I am trying hard to keep caught up, but things are crazy!

If you are waiting for proofs to look at, or sneak peeks on the blog, give me another day or two please!

Engagement session

This couple is going to get married next June after they graduate from college. They came here for their engagement pictures before they left for college this week.
Michael is my husband's relative on his dad's side of the family and Lindsey is his relative on his mom's side. I guess we will be seeing these two at both reunions!
I hope you enjoy your peek! The rest should be ready to look at in a few more days!

I don't do seniors!

This year I decided to stop taking pictures of Seniors. I don't enjoy them as much as I do the babies, toddlers and preschoolers, so I decided to concentrate on the things I love to do. That being said, I got a call from some friends from our church looking for a photographer for their son's senior pictures. Kyle is a good kid, and it is not like I can't do senior pictures, so I agreed to do them.
Kyle brought along his guitar and his soccer gear and we had a great shoot. Here is a sneak peek, I hope that you like them!

Baby girl day

One day this week I had three baby girls come for appointments! Here is a sneak peek for you all!
First was Baby B. She is the baby in the cabbages in the post below.
She has the most beautiful hair and eyes!
Doesn't this look so sad?! I love this picture!
One with her big brother B.And this is B, he is so big now! I think that he was 5 the last time I saw him, and now he is 7 and a big brother!

Next is Baby H. She is three months old. We tried our hardest to get her to smile! She didn't give us too many smiles, but she sure looked cute none the less!

Miss H has the most amazing eyelashes, and her mama asked if I would get some close ups of them while she slept.Don't you just love this hat? Baby H's grandma did a great job picking it out for her pictures! Finally, last but not least was Baby R. She was the youngest today at 1 month old. She had such great eye contact for a newborn.

This is something new that I wanted to try...I think I like it! It shows how tiny her feet really are!Look! A smile! We tired hard to get her to sleep! Finally she gave up and conked out! Thanks for looking! Leave a comment so that I know who is looking!

Today a baby got his angel wings.

It is a sad, sad day. I found out that someone in the community had a baby last night and that they weren't sure if he would make it. I belong to two charities that provide pictures for families of sick and dying babies.
One of them is "Now I lay me down to Sleep" and the other is "The American Child Photographers Charity Guild". They are both great organizations. Visit their websites to learn more about them.

Baby G looked perfect on the outside, but his insides were sick. He got his wings at 1:30pm today. Please pray for his family and the hard days ahead of them.

Finally a smile!

Miss M came back this week for a mini shoot. Her mama and I hoped for a smile of two this time! You can see her other shoot here. She was a little more smiley this time and I got a few that I really liked.TTFN! Martha

Pretty in Pink

I just had to break out the pink paper for this little beauty! Don't you love her piggy tails?! Last year she hardly had any hair at all, so I was surprised to see that this year she had enough for piggy tails!
Miss H just turned two, and she was such a good girl! She stayed where I put her (well...usually!) and she smiled perfectly for the camera! A photographers dream!

Here is H last year:

And here she is today! She just had her 2nd birthday over the weekend! Why is it that I am sure that this is not the last time that her parents will see this look out of her??

Busy Busy Girl!

This was little Miss V's third or fourth time here (I can't quite remember!), and she was still as busy as she usually is! She would sit for a minute, and then get up and run! I had Olivia here to help me and she got her to sit and even to smile a few times!
She turned 3 years old yesterday!
It was good to see you again! I enjoy watching the children that I photograph grow up! Here she is last year for her two year pictures:

And here she is this year! Hasn't she grown?

Her pictures will be in her gallery soon!

Lauren's b-day present finally came!

So Lauren's b-day was a month ago, but she couldn't decide on a present, so she didn't get anything from us. I told her to let me know when she found something.

She is really into gemstones right now, and was wanting a ring from Jewelry TV. She really loves Tanzanite, but most of the rings with tanzanite and white gold are 150 and up! Well, one night last week I was on JTV's auction site and I found a .45kt tanzanite 14kt white gold ring! And it was in her size! The auction had 22 minutes left, and the high bid was only 67.00! I quickly signed up, and signed in and made a bid, and I won the ring for 68.00! It was a little more than we usually spend on b-day presents, but I couldn't pass up a 225.00 ring for 68.00!

It seemed like it would take forever to get here, but today it finally arrived! Lauren ran out to the mailbox and she hasn't stopped smiling since then!

Here it is!

She is a lucky girl! I am pretty sure that the only 14kt gold ring I have is my wedding rings!

Shopping on Saturday

We went school shopping on Saturday, because it was the last day that we have free before school starts. Starting today Lauren has V-ball practice everyday in August (except the sundays).

So here are a few things that I found!
I love LOVE LOVE Vanilla Tootsie Rolls! I went into Pat Catan's and I found a whole bag of vanilla ones! Usually they only come mixed in a bag with Orange, Lemon and Lime. I am not too crazy about the other flavors, so they usually get thrown away.....That is why I was so excited to find a whole bag of the vanilla ones! I bought two bags. If you come over, I'll share them with you!

OK, I could not resist buying this Bacon Floss!! How funny is that?? Leaves your mouth Bacon Fresh! Yummy! =PThis photo is totally Lauren's vision! The pig is freaking out at the idea of bacon floss, and the nickles show that she is 'peeing herself' ! That Lauren sure has her daddy's sense of humor!Liv found this shirt at Plato's closet on the clearance rack and she thought it was perfect for my blog! What a brat! *wink*wink*

Lauren found this sweater and hat at a shop at the mall for only 6.00! She's a bargain shopper! Liv bought this ring (three ring set). Not really a school supply, is it Liv??

Adam loves the show "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" on Cartoon Network. I hate it!! While at the mall we found a store that had some things from the show in stock, and Adam liked this shirt. They only had one in the whole store and it was an XXL so we got it for him to wear to bed. We also got him a keychain, and a pin from the show for his backpack.

We left home around 10:30am and we got home at 8:30pm! We were totally exhausted and totally broke!! We had a good time, though, and it was good to spend the day with the children and have a day off from the computer!
I am behind, though, so I need to get back to work!

A special shoot....Mattie x2

I had the honor of photographing these beautiful ladies today! Two of them are named Mattie. The older Mattie just turned 90 years old this summer. The younger had her birthday this summer too, she is three. Mattie has a daughter named Rhoda, Rhoda has a son named Joseph, and Joseph's daughter is named Mattie.
I am so glad that I had the opportunity to capture this time in their lives. I hope that these photographs will be cherished for many generations!

Neither Mattie was sure why I was taking pictures of their hands, but I told them to trust me! I love hands, I think they tell a lot about a person. My grandma died when I was 3, and I have a hard time remembering her, but I can clearly see her hands. I remember sitting on her lap and looking at her freckles and age spots and tracing them with my small fingers. I hope that Mattie will always remember her great-grandma's hands.
Ahhhhh, memories of my grandmas. I miss them, and I wish that they were here to see my children. Mattie and Emma are definitely lucky to have a special great grandma like Mrs Mattie Miller.
